Emir of Rano dead:Latest news coming from Kano state says,EmirTafida Abubakar Illa, is dead.Hie cause of death has not yet been revealed.It was reported earlier that the late Emir, of one of the newly created emirates in Kano state, was referred to Nassarawa Specialist Hospital after being admitted at Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital over an undisclosed ailment.
The secretary, Rano Emirate council, Sank Haruna, told PREMIUM TIMES, that he received the
news about the emir’s death few minutes to 5 p.m,on the 2nd of May.
“I’m now on my way to the hospital, the emir is dead,” he said.
The late emir was on Friday admitted at Mallam Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital over an undisclosed ailment.
He was later referred to the Nassarawa Specialist Hospital for further medical attention, where he died on Saturday.
The Rano Emirate is one of the newly created four emirates by governor Abdullahi Ganduje.
The emir who is survived by two wives and 17 children, died at the age of 75. He will be buried according to Islamic rites.
