Bukky was born to a Christian Father and a Muslim mother in Abeokuta, she earned her bachelor's
degree in Economics at the University of Lagos.
She lost her mother over 12 years ago,speaking on the issue,she said-“We were close. You know how it is when you lose your better half; her death really devastated me. I am now an orphan. As the first born, I am now a mother to my siblings. To the glory of God, I am doing my best and I believe God will see me through. The load is quite heavy but I know that with God, I will be able to pull through,” she said.

She began her acting career in 1996, she is fluent in both the Yoruba and English Languages aspect of Nollywood movies. She also featured in Wale Adenuga's television series "Super Story" asides writing she owns a Fashion house and clothing line named 'B Collections' and a beauty spa, named 'B Wright'
Bukky has also signed several endorsements deals, one of which was with Chivita. She won the Best Nollywood Actress of the Year Award in 2011. The businesswoman and actress added politics to her resume when she contested for the post of a Honourable in Ogun State House Of Assembly under the platform of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in 2014.
The actress had a controversial marital life, with little to no details of her marriage. She is however the mother of two sons one of which made her a grandmother early when he had a child.
She however does not blame the breakdown of her relationships on herself-She said, “I have not found Mr Right. My dad is the only Mr Right I know. I have not found my own Mr Right, maybe that is why I am like this.” Describing who Mr Right is,she said, Mr Right is, “a God-fearing, fatherly, hardworking, loving, honest and, of course, good-looking man.” She described the collapse of her previous relationships as the will of God. “There was nothing I could do, the break ups were just the will of God. I don't think I was responsible for them,” she said.
She also does not think her being an actress has anything to do with it either,-“I could be a lawyer and still be a single parent; I could be a doctor or a banker or anything and be a single parent. So, I don't see my job as a problem,” she said.
