This is how Amy Cooper, who works at Franklin Templeton, while walking her dog in NYC central park, tried to falsely get an African American man arrested for asking her to keep her dog on a leash.
Amy a Caucasian woman was seen on video as she made a distress 911 call pretending her life was being threatened by "an African American man".
The scary thing is ,this could have easily led to the police storming the park and the innocent man getting seriously hurt or even being killed in the process.
The incident happened at famous Ramble in New York's Central Park, she let her dog off the leash, and this act is clearly against the rules so as to protect the birds from dogs.
The African American man who happened to be around while this was happening, politely
asked her to put her dog back on the leash but Amy refused. The man then started filming her.She didn't like this and got agitated.she confronted him and asked him to stop. He told her he will stop when she complies and puts her dog on the leash.
This was when she decided to resort to plan B,a nasty plan indeed. She told him that she will call the cops and tell them that he's threatening her.He asked her to go ahead and call the cops.
Then she put on her best Hollywood acting skills. She took off her protective covid 19 face mask, then truly called the cops, telling them that she was being threatened by an African American man in a very distressed voice. At the same time she was dragging her dog by it's leach, half strangling the dog,so you can hear it making a distressed sound, giving the phone call more credibility.
So how did all of these come to light? The sister of the victim,a lady named Melody Cooper shared the video. It has since gone viral, with some saying Amy should lose her job with Franklin Templeton investments.
Many also called for her to be prosecuted. She knew exactly what she was doing by using the race card. The police would clearly think a Caucasian being attacked by a black man,is something that needed very urgent attention.
