Tope Alabi biography of the Nigerian gospel musician,takes on her career,husband,children,net worth and parents.

Tope Alabi was born the 27th of October 1970, in Lagos State Nigeria. The singer born Patricia Temitope Obayomi, is the only daughter out of three children to her parents Pa Joseph Akinyele Obayomi and Madam Agnes Kehinde Obayomi. She is an indigene of Yewa, Imeko of Ogun State, Nigeria.

Tope had her secondary education at Oba Akinyele Memorial High School, Ibadan, she finished in the year 1986. She proceeded to Ibadan Polytechnic where she studied Mass Communication, she graduated in 1990.



Between 1982 and 1984, during her secondary school education, she discovered her interest in music and drama which led her to join the then "Jesters International" (Jacob, Papilolo and Aderupoko) group at Ibadan, she got her training and experience in acting from there. She later went on to work as a correspondent with the Nigerian Television Authority  (NTA) in Ibadan. Under the supervision of Mr. Yanju Adegbite, between 1990 and 1991, she also worked with Centre-spread Advertising Limited, Ilupeju area of Lagos.

After having several work experiences Patricia went back into theatre Arts and joined the prestigious "Alade Aromire Theatre group" in 1994. It heightened her ability to distinguish between being an actress and a singer. She was able to know all the core areas of drama and the acting profession. The singer has produced several soundtracks for Nollywood Yoruba movies, she also doubles as an actress, she has gotten invites from several writers, producers and directors in the Yoruba movie industry to write and perform sound tracks for their various movies. She has about 350 soundtracks to her credit.

Tope Alabi is married and is the mother of two daughters namely Ayomiku and Deborah. She is also popularly known as Ore ti o common. The singer was on the 21st of May 2019 crowned the queen of Yoruba Language, this was from a result of a competition by United Bank of Africa in their 70th anniversary celebration. Among her numerous songs Angeli Mi, Kokoro Igbala, Moriyanu, and Agbelebu are just a few on the long list.
