The 22 year old superstar was born May 21, 1997, he was born in Lagos State. The singer is signed into Mr Eazi's record label, Empawa.
He studied Human Resource at the University of Lagos where he bagged a degree, Joeboy grew up in a family of music as his dad played the keyboard in church and his older brother was in the choir. He claims he was inspired by 9ice and ID cabasa whom he used to hang out with in the studio.
