More coronavirus conspiracy theories.
Recently there have been rumours flying around about different conspiracy theories people are coming up with over the covid-19 virus, most of these theories emerged via Facebook posts in January, when the US
recorded it's first cases of the virus.
These theories fall into two parts:
There is a claim from one camp that the 5G chip can suppress the immune system which makes people more susceptible to contacting the virus. This claim in the head of few might sound believable as health personnel continue to urge people to maintain their immune system as the virus feeds on low immune systems but an associate professor in cellular microbiology at the University of Read Dr Simon Clark has to come out to say this notion is "Complete rubbish"
Another claim says the virus can somehow be transmitted through the use of 5G technology but this particular claim makes no sense as radio waves can disrupt your physiology as they heat you up, meaning your immune system can't function. However 5G radio waves are tiny and they are nowhere near strong enough to affect the immune system.
A professor of paediatric at the University of Bristol Adam Finn also said it would be impossible for 5G to transmit the virus, he also added that,
"The present epidermic is caused by a virus that is passed from one infected person to another. We know this is true. We even have the virus growing in our lab, obtained from a person with the illness. Viruses and electromagnetic waves that make mobile phones and internet connections are different things. As different as chalk and cheese," he says.
One vital flaw in this conspiracy theories is that the virus has spread to countries like the UK where 5G has yet to even be deployed.
