The Eddie Long cause of death has been the topic on the lips many following the passing away of the popular and controversial Bishop.The fact that he was ill was not a secret,he had lost a considerable amount of weight in shocking before and after illness pictures that surfaced last year.But amid different rumours of what might be wrong with him,including rumours of HIV,he defiantly marched on insisting he was on the way to recovery.He said in a released statement:"I am recovering from a health challenge that I trust God to deliver me from. It is unrelated to the eating for life diet consisting of mostly raw vegetables that I am continuing, as part of a holistic approach to
good health.
But one constant rumour among many that never went away was that he was in fact battling cancer.
His church eventually confirmed that news today in a statement,by telling what he died from,although the form of cancer was not made known.Part of the statement read that he died after a “gallant private fight with an aggressive form of cancer”.
His wife Vanessa in a short statement said:“I am confident through my belief in God that my husband is now resting in a better place,"

This is very sad indeed.I am not a big fan of the 63 year old Bishop,but i do find him entertaining and always follow up on news about him.Strangely it was only about a week ago that pictures of him in church were released.I actually thought maybe that meant he was getting better from his illness.Who could have thought or known he would pass away barely 2 weeks later?
Long was born May 12, 1953, in Huntersville, N.C. In 1987,was involved in a huge controversy in 2010,when a group of 4 young men in his congregation accused him of coercion.The men who were all in the early teens at the time of the supposed coercion, each told similar stories of Eddie indoctrinated them as spiritual sons, offering them money, cars and trips to exotic locations.One of the boys even released pictures taken privately with the church minister.He was seen flexing his muscles inn a tight body hugging top.If anything,it looked pretty uncomfortable for a man in such a position to be caught up like that.
His his final sermon before his death to the church was in early January 2017.He is survived by his wife,four children and three grandchildren.
