Hon.Neneh Macdouall Gaye,Gambia's minister of foreign affairs has resigned from her position due to the country’s political crisis, with President Yah Yahya Jammeh refusing to step down for president-elect Adama Barrow.
The glamourous lady now joins the Ministers of Trade, Environment and Finance who have also resigned in Mr.Jammeh's government.The incumbent president's regime is due to end on Thursday, January 19, 2017.But there is a lot of uncertainty to what heppens in the country next.Many people have been seen leaving the country,fearing for their welfare.
In a letter addressed to the country’s President, she indicated why she was leaving,saying that:
