The rumours that spread over Gambian Adama Barrow death have been quashed.The news swept through Africa and the international community that the recently elected No 1 citizen had been killed.TV station CBN Television, Banjul,even went as far as announcing that he had been murdered by that unknown assailants who overpowered his security guards, leaving two dead and six others injured from gunshots.That was the moment the news really went
haywire.
But Barrow has announced that he is alive and well.The announcement came in form of his official twitter handle,it read: “We would like to inform you that the President-elect is alive and well. #Gambia”,
The former Argos security guard in UK had won the election in Gambia to become president.The incumbent President Yahya Jammeh then conceded defeat and went as far as calling his rival.But a few days later ,he changed his mind and said the election was inconclusive and wanted a recount and possibly another election.From that moment on,Gambia had been thrown into confusion and fear.
