Nigeria vs Cameroon scores:Super Falcons beat Indomitable Lionesses in Final

The 10th finals result of the women's Africa Cup of Nations ended with Nigeria beating Cameroon 1-0.The Super Falcons who are also the defending champions having won the cup 2 years ago in Namibia by beating the same opponents,have virtually made the trophy theirs by winning it 8 times,bearing in mind there has only been ten tournaments.They are also the defending champions.It was not an easy task beating the Cameroonians in their own backyard in front of a 40,000 capacity,but that is just the stuff champions are made of.


The occasion itself was like a carnival with the stadium being packed hours before the game itself began.The President of the country,Paul Biya was there to see the Lionesses do the country proud and win it for the first time.But the Falcons had another idea in mind.
They broke the hearts of the whole nation by stealing the cup in front of their teeming supporters.

It is always a big feat to win a final in front of the home support with all the crowd and nation behind them
In the first half,the hosts had the better performance and should have gone ahead,but failed to take their chances.
But in the second half,the defending champions were a lot more composed and began to silence the home crowd.

Just when we thought things could be going into extra time,that lady again Desire Oparanozie,who was the match winner in the last game against South Africa,hit the winner in the 84th minute to silence the 40,000 strong crowd and you could almost hear a pin drop.
