The much awaited news of how did George Michael die has been revealed by his long time manager and friend Lippman.The music world had been stunned by the christmas day news of the passing of one of the greatest British music talents of the 80s and 90s.It was announced he passed on peacefully in his sleep at home just before 2pm on the 25th of December,but the cause of his death was not revealed.
Well,his manager has revealed he died of heart failure.I am still in total shock,it's incredible what a terrible year 2016 has been for musicians.I was only reporting Rick Parfitt's demise a day before.We lost Prince,Pete Burns,Bowie,just to mention a few.
The music world have also been pouring in their tribute to the careless whispers singer.His ex Wham band mate Andrew Ridgely in a twitter tribute said he shall miss his beloved friend YOG,which was his nick name for him.Sir Elton John also called him the kindest and generous soul as well as a brilliant artist,saying how his heart goes out to his family,friends and fans.
It is rather ironic that the gay music star who had had close shaves in the past with drugs and pneumonia passed away on christmas day,a day that one of his most famous songs,Last Christmas was being played all over the world.
I was only just watching him on BBC archive Top of the pops on Saturday where his band Wham were performing Young guns go for it.I guess he had his last christmas indeed.
This on a personal level is the worst christmas i have ever had because i loved the man and was a big fan of him and his music.I also want to thank the family for not releasing the George Michael dead news,i am sure they did this because they did not want to mess up the day for people.I commend them for this.
I shall write more later in tribute,but for now,i can't write no more,i am numb.
