Neco 2016 results shows a new exam record of 88.51 per cent pass level.
Announcing the results on Friday at NECO headquarters in Minna, Registrar of the Council, Prof. Charles Uwakwe, said 88.51 percent of the candidates got at least five credits including Mathematics and English Language.
He explained that 905,011 (84.54 per cent) of candidates got 5 credits and above in English

Uwakwe noted further that the comparative analysis of candidates performance in the examination for 2015 and 2016 shows one percent (1%) improvement in the general performance of candidates in 2016 (88.51%) as compared with 2015 (87.51%).
Ekiti State recorded the highest of 96.48 percent and Katsina State recording the least with 72.59 percent.
Prof. Uwakwe said that 1,022,474 candidates in Nigeria and other countries sat and wrote the examination out of 1,027,016 who registered.
The NECO boss added that 43,905 cases of malpractice was recorded, and the number of schools involved in mass cheating as 194, adding that the results of candidates involved have been cancelled.

The card will come with a PIN which can only be used to check exam results to a maximum of 5 times. With this pin, you can either check your results through a mobile phone or online using NECO websites.

To check the results using your mobile phone, simply draft a text-message in the format shown below:

For example:

Please note; (one) the above format should be followed correctly; otherwise, your NECO results will not be sent; (two) the message has no spacing. The entire message should look like one word–take note of that. And lastly, be sure to check if the entire message contains all the 5 fragments: NECO, Exam No, Exam Year, Exam Type, and Pin.
Step 2
After drafting the text as specified, you can now send it to 32327. This short code is standard for all networks: MTN, Airtel or Glo. After sending the text, you can wait for NECO to deliver the EXAM results via a text message. Usually, NECO results are delivered in less than 5 minutes, unless there’s congestion or many people are actually using the service.
