Bastille day Nice terrorist attack leaves 84 dead including 10 children,many injured

Nice terrorist attack.France has witnessed its most tragic day in recent history as at least 75 people were killed and 100 injured in Nice celebrating the Bastille day at a fireworks show.The man who carried out the Bastille day attack in France was driving a lorry that was loaded with weapons and grenade.He started shooting into the crowd of people celebrating the Bastille Day (French Independence day) national holiday sporadically
while at the same time driving into the people killing and injuring many in the process.

An eye witness said he got out of the truck and started shooting at people, got back into the truck and plowed into the crowd killing several other people. The lorry on Thursday night rammed into the crowd on the Promenade des Anglais seaside walk in the centre of town. At least 100 were wounded in the attack.

Another eyewitness said:

  "I was enjoying the Bastille Day fireworks just like thousands of other people at the promenade in Nice," he said. "I was just walking back after the fireworks had finished. I looked towards the truck and I thought it was a bit odd, because the roads were shut down and there were hundreds perhaps thousands of people walking along. "But then from the direction of the truck, I started hearing screaming and then people started running. And so I joined all those people in running away from there."

The driver drove for over 2km plowing into people in his way. Eyewitnesses said he drove 30 to 40 miles per hour into the crowd.

The driver was eventually killed by the Police squad.As of the time of this report,nobody had clamed responsibility for the attack.But some members of the Islamic state were said to have taken to social media with some of them tweeting God is great.I just cannot understand how a human being in the name of anything can kill fellow human beings who you don't know and who have not done nothing whatsoever to harm you.How sick,cruel and evil can people be? And then they round it all up by saying God is great?Can some people be so deluded and think this is what any God wants?I am just sick to the pits of my stomach.

This is such a sad day,and not only for the people of France,anybody could have been caught up in this Bastille day killing,today it is France,who knows where it could be tomorrow?
The death toll was initially 73, but it has increased to 75 dead.

French anti terror investigators are currently investigating the incident.
The French had been apprehensive and half expecting a terrorist attack and the just concluded Euro 2016,when it didn't come,there was a huge sigh of relief round the whole country and they thought they might have seen the end of the terrorists,especially as one had only just happened in November 9 moths ago.
Nobody saw this coming.Already,France is in am emergency state,if you go to Paris for example,you see armed police everywhere,and with all this security around,these evil men found a way through still.
These are scary times indeed.My heart goes out to all the family and friends of the dead and to those who are badly injured.May the souls of the dead rest in peace.
