Zoe Saldana Nina Simone
I really don't see what the big deal is here,i think people just like to create mayhem where there is none.Yes,agreed,it would have been easier to use a darker skinned actress, but don't we see why people getting tans if the character they play are dark skinned white people? Why does everything have to be about race? Some times it is deservedly so,but in this case i don't think any harm was meant.
The Latina actress, Zoe Saldana has come under fire for painting her face black in a trailer for the new Nina Simone biopic. Fans and even Nina Simone's family have condemned her.
Saldana, who plays the legendary performer and civil rights activist, Nins Simone, had her skin look darker and her nose made to look wider in a poster and video promoting the movie.
The actress tweeted a quote from Simone on Wednesday, only for the family of the late Feeling Good singer to demand she 'take Nina's name out your mouth for the rest of your life'.

Supporters of Simone's music and work criticized movie bosses for casting Saldana - who is an American of part Puerto Rican and Dominican descent - back in 2012.
