This is one of the reasons why i am not a big fan of religion.If the Bible tells you something,are you not allowed to use your own senses to judge if that thing is the right thing to do? There are so many things in the Bible that we will not do,Manny should not take everything in the bible literally.End of the day,its all about love,why advocate for another man to be killed simply cos of the person he chooses to sleep with? Despite apologizing ,Manny Pacquiao was dropped by Nike yesterday after he criticized gay couples,saying they were worse than animals .And now, has found himself at the centre of fresh controversy today after posting a Bible verse saying homosexual men should be killed.
Written alongside a since-deleted picture showing Pacquiao with wife Jinkee, he quotes Leviticus, saying:
'Do not have sexual relations with a man as one does with a woman; that is detestable.'If a man has sexual relations with a man as one does with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They are to be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads.'
He also quoted a passage from Luke which seemed to be aimed at critics who blasted his initial comments.
He wrote:
'Blessed are you when people hate you, when they exclude you and reject you and insult your name as evil, because of the Son of Man.
'Rejoice in that day and leap for joy, because great is your reward in heaven. For that is how their ancestors treated the prophets.'
