We have all heard of the backlash in the nomination of Alhaji Lai Mohammed as a Nigerian minister.
Now,The National Publicity Secretary of APC, Alhaji Lai Mohammed from Kwara state has come out to state why he deserved the ministerial nomination from his state.
Lai Mohammed in his reaction, to journalists in Ilorin, to counter protest against his ministerial nomination insisted that him and his family registered in Oro, his hometown,
adding that he contributed to the development of the party in his local government and the success of the member of house of representatives from that area, telling the people that their protest was unfair.
He admitted that even though he was not in Kwara state during the elections, his national assignment to the party during the period was more important than being in Kwara state to vote. He further said that as an indigene of Kwara state, he reserved the right to live in Lagos or any part of the country hence deserved the ministerial nomination.
He added that the emergence of his son as a member of Lagos state house of assembly was his own political reward for his service to the people and had nothing to do with his nomination.
Should be really interesting when the screening starts, something tells me we are in for a shocker or two.
