These cases of fake medical doctors are starting to grown in Nigeria. There has to be something drastic done to really prevent this trend.I think a big custodial sentence like 20 years or so should be dished out! This people have a patients life in their hands, they could easily be involved in a case of manslaughter! Some will even call it murder cos they have
knowingly gone into a field which they know nothing about and not adequately qualified for.No mercy from this end and frankly even a life sentence is not too much in my opinion.
The Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN) has arrested the first female fake doctor in Nigeria. According to Daily Trust, the woman, Angela Njide Nwosu who had worked as a doctor for years using forged documents, was arrested on the first day of her new N280,000 a month job at a newly opened private hospital in Bwari council area in Abuja after her new employees demanded MDCN to verify its new staff doctors.
When interrogated, Angela claimed to have graduated from Medical school 2005 at University of Nigeria, Nsukka and did house-man-ship at UNN’s teaching hospital, but she failed simple questions any medical student is expected to know.
