Chief Imam from Sokoto among Nigerians killed in Mecca stampede!

Nigeria pilgrimage to Mecca.The Sokoto State Pilgrims Welfare Agency has said that the Chief Imam of the Sultan Abubakar III Jumaa’at Mosque, Sokoto, Liman Dan-Ata, is among those killed in the

stampede which occurred in Mina, Saudi Arabia on Thursday.

The Media Assistant to the agency, Farouk Umar, made this known today.

The state government had in a statement issued on Saturday by Imam Imam, spokesman to Governor Aminu Tambuwal, confirmed the killing of nine other pilgrims from the state in the Mina stampede.
