Swiss govt to spend $8m reconstructing Borno,Yobe &Adamawa States from Boko Haram attacks.
Well,it's about time they gave back some of the money all our corrupt politicians used to build their economy isn't it?
The Swiss government has proposed to spend $8 million dollars reconstruction and development in the three northeast States most affected by Boko Haram terrorists, specifically Borno State, Yobe State, and Adamawa State. This pledge is also expected to
include some of Nigeria’s Lake Chad neighbors victimized by Boko Haram.

According to the Charge de Affaires at the Swiss Embassy in Nigeria, Dr. Daniel Cavegn, the Swiss government has “established quite an extensive network with Borno government, especially on the unfortunate situation you find yourself. We have done a lot to increase the humanitarian aid to the northeast States ravaged by Boko Haram though this may not be enough."

Dr. Cavegn made his remarks during a trip to Maiduguri, the capital or Borno State, and in the company of top officials from that State.
Usman Shuwa, the spokesman for Borno State Governor Kashim Shettima, thanked Swiss officials for identifying the intense humanitarian needs of the three northeastern States.
"Considering the situation in which we found ourselves, and the meager resources at our disposal, there is the need for foreign partners to come to the aid of the State government especially in reconstruction, rehabilitation and resettlement of the destroyed communities,” Governor Shettima said through his spokesman.
