India's First Lady Suvra Mukherjee, who died today has already been laid-in-state where guests are paying their last respect at the presidential residence. She will be cremated tomorrow. India’s first lady, Suvra Mukherjee died today August 18th at the age of 74. Mrs Mukherjee died from complications from a respiratory disorders at the Army Hospital, Delhi.
"Suvra Mukherjee died after a cardiac arrest. She was on ventilator till the time of her death," hospital PRO Sanjay Kumar said. She is survived by her husband, India's President Pranab Mukherjee, a daughter Sharmistha Mukherjee and two sons Abhijit Mukherjee and Indrajit Mukherjee. More photos after the cut..
