JAMB cut off mark for Nigerian students-Good or Bad?
The common complaint of Nigerians who schooled 20 -30 years ago..even 10 years ago,is that the standard of education in Nigeria has nose dived! When i read some writings of Nigerian students on social media nowadays or even hear them speak,it makes me shudder and leaves me really sad. Now bearing all these in mind, should JAMB be reducing the cut of mark for Nigerian students to gain admission into univeristies?
According to Premium Times reports, Dibu Ojerinde, the JAMB registrar is now saying that the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced a reduction in its cut-
off mark for students seeking admission to university.

JAMB has reduced the cut-off mark to 180 for admission to degree programmes, and 150 for national certificate in education, national diploma and national innovation diplomas.

I personally think it's the worse thing that could happen to the Nigerian education sector. These kids are going to be the leaders of tomorrow. How are they going to do that if they can't even construct a sentence without adding pidgin english to it?
