So,You tube beauty expert Ingrid Nilsen came out as gay and broke the internet!
In less than 24 hrs Nilsen's coming out video on youtube has had 2million views! Now that is super mega status.Not even Caitlyn Jenner can boast of that kind of interest.But then again,Ingrid has a huge following.She has 3 million subscribers on youtube.
But my whole point for talking about this is,when is a private life private?Ingrid says she had known she was gay from the age of 4,i find that amazing,but then again i am not gay so i cannot tell the
moment you realize you are one.Ingrid also says she has come out to her friends.Should that not be enough? Did she really have to come out to 3 million people? What happens when the paparazzi now starts stalking her love life? Trying to find out the girl she is now dating etc? Then it becomes a different kind of crying game.

I just feel some things are called private because they are meant to be private.
I watched the video and i can't see the real point of her making it.To me it seems like just another ploy to get more airtime and more following.I would not be surprised if a desire to rival or steal part of Caitlyn Jenner's thunder was behind this.
Yes i know society still gives gay people a hard time,and some families still do as well.But women don't have it so bad.Most guys think its hot when they talk about lesbians,they fantasize about having a lesbian girl friend etc.Girls hold hands and kiss openly in public and no one bats an eyelid..Gay guys are the ones who really bare the brunt of society and homophobic atrocities. So if this was a gay guy coming out with this video,i would very much understand.I would understand that he is letting out the pain,frustration and imprisoned life he has been forced to live.Even though Ingrid Nilsen tries to portray she had the same issues,i somehow don't think so or believe it.

Ingrid starts her video by saying she has something important she wants us to know..and then basically blurts it out..I'm gay and it feels so good! You had to come out and tell 3 million people this? It's your private life dear.
“I have had this wall up for so much of my life, but it wasn’t like this brick or stone wall,” she said. “I’ve described it to my friends as this glass wall, where you could see me but you were never getting all of me, because there was always that barrier there.”
The 26-year-old social media phenomenon further said-
“I want to live my life unapologetically because I am proud of who I am and I am not going to apologize for who I am anymore,” she said in closing. “This is the life that I have always lived in my head and now it’s real.”
Some say they found the video emotional,others disagree,i didn't find it emotional at all.It looked and sounded all scripted and Ingrid Nilsen will be smiling to the bank after this outing!
