Buhari visits Chad and Niger Republic in Boko Haram talks. |
President Buhari is wasting no time in his bid to find a lasting solution to the continued attacks by Boko Haram members. President Buhari will on Wednesday June 3rd visit Niger Republic and on Thursday June 4th visit Chad where he is expected to hold talks with the Presidents of both countries.
Spokesperson to President Buhari, Shehu Garba in a statement he released today said;
"Buhari will go to Niger Republic on Wednesday and will spend a night there before proceeding to Chad the next day (Thursday)."In a related development, President Buhari earlier today had a closed door meeting with the National Security Adviser, Col. Sambo Dasuki(retd.).at the Defence House in Abuja. The meeting is believed to have bothered on the renewed attacks by the sect members in Maiduguri as well as discuss on the plans to relocate the military central command to Maiduguri, the Borno State capital.
