Fed Gov says Asaba Airport is unsafe for Travelers and downgrades it.

Asaba airport declared unsafe and downgraded by Nigerian government.

The Federal government has downgraded and declared Asaba Airport in Delta state unsafe for travelers. In a statement released by the Federal Ministry of Aviation today May 5th, the Aviation ministry stated that the airport facility was downgraded and declared
unsafe due to the failure of the Delta State government to fix key infrastructure such as undulating runways as well as provision of perimeter fence at the airport as directed by the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority.

 “The Federal Government has downgraded the Asaba Airport over the failure of the Delta State government to put in place measures that would guarantee the safety and security of passengers using the airport.” the statement in part reads

So what happens to travelers in Asaba now?I mean is the airport gonna be shut until those criteria's are met? Another baffling thing is,i have seen reports of Airports in other parts of the country,which are far worse than the Asaba airport,and they are still operating,so what's going on there? 

I mean the Asaba Airport seriously looks like paradise compared to some airports that i have seen reports on...
