died in his sleep yesterday after battling acute diabetes and kidney failure for years.
In an interview with City People few months before he passed on, Akeem had revealed he was surviving on just one kidney, that he had given his life to Christ but couldn't give up
smoking and drinking.
Unfortunately,Akeem not being able to give up those two dangerous vices wold definitely have played a big part in his demise.
Akeem was planning to shut down his club and use the spare time to attend bible school and get to know more about God. He also said he wanted to be healthy for his only daughter.
"I need to take a medical check-up and balance my health because I only have one daughter and I want her to see me on her wedding day" he had said.Sadly, he passed on yesterday. May his soul rest in perfect peace.
