Robert Mugabe unbelievably named Chairman of The African Union at 90!

Mugabe ,still holding on for power at 90.

There is definitely some craziness going on in Africa.Otherwise,how else can you explain 90 year old Zimbabwean President, Robert Mugabe being named the new Chairman of the African Union?Totally unbelievable! Who voted for him or even suggested he should
hold the position?Total madness if you ask me..a 90 year old man? He took over from Mauritania's President Mohamed Ould Abdel Aziz at a ceremony which held at the Union's secretariat in Addis Abbaba, Ethiopia this morning. 
What kind of message exactly are these people trying to send through? I have so many questions that are obviously more than answers..but hey,it is what it is...
"By electing me to preside over this august body, with full knowledge of the onerous responsibility that lies ahead, I humbly accept your collective decision," Mugabe said as he was appointed at the AU summit in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
