I raised this issue in an earlier post,how can a man who has been President of Nigeria 2ce and Head of state for 3 and a half years openly flaunt the laws of the land and ignore a court order in the same Nigeria? There was a court order stopping Obasanjo from releasing
his book,"My Watch" yet he went ahead to release that book.The moment he flaunted that order,the court should have ordered his arrest.But Nigeria is weak! Do you think an ordinary man will still be working the streets if he had done that?

It's the worst form of impunity.It's a disgraceful behaviour and in my opinion shows Obasanjo as a hypocrite and power thug who thinks he is bigger than Nigeria.But guess what? He will get away with this.And that is why these men behave like this continuously!
Before the book was presented yesterday in Lagos, the Chairman, Organisation and Mobilisation Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party in the South-West, Mr. Buruji Kashamu had earlier gotten an injunction restraining him or his agents from publishing the book, an injunction the former president ignored.
Kashamu in a statement personally signed by him as however says he will be dragging obasanjo to court again alongside the people who made the presentation of the book possible. The statement reads;
“I have asked my lawyers to press criminal contempt charges against him(Obasanjo) and all those who assisted him in flouting the orders of the court.
“I will ensure that they are all dragged before the court, and particularly, Obasanjo, without his cap, to show why he should not be punished for criminal contempt.”
Kashamu noted that the ex-president’s action had confirmed his knack for lawlessness and arbitrariness.
He added, “Everybody knows that good governance is based on the rule of law, due process and respect for constituted authorities.
“It beats my imagination that this man can be sermonising about good governance when he shamelessly advertises all the elements of bad governance.
“In short, Obasanjo is bad governance personified. He is the worst advertisement for the product he is trying to advertise – good governance. He has shown that he does not have respect for the judiciary, and that he is above the law.
“Certainly, President Goodluck Jonathan and his predecessor, the late President Umaru Yar’Adua, and others he criticised in the controversial book, which I am reliably informed he did not write, are made of a sterner stuff than him. They are true democrats and gentlemen to the core.”
