Doyin Okupe,President Goodluck Jonathan's media adviser,has come hard and hitting at General Muhammadu Buhari.He made some strong points too why Buhari and APC will not win the elections.Some which i actually agree with.But at the end of it all i still feel Buhari will come out tops.He talks about APC miscalculating,because they assumed the 12million votes Buhari had at the last election added to the South West will give them victory.But Okupe claims rightfully,that Ondo,Ekiti and maybe even Lagos are not guaranteed for APC.
But i feel the mistake he is making is that,the same factor that worked for Goodluck Jonathan
will work for Buhari at the 2015 election.Goodluck Jonathan won the last election because both PDP supporters and APC voted for him,Nigerian's thought GEJ was the change needed so they voted for him regardless of his tribe or party.That is the same feeling in Nigeria now,people across the board are willing to vote for Buhari,regardless of the party they support or tribe they come from,because they think he is the answer to the crisis in the country.
GEJ has simply failed in his task and this is the cold fact.Only the die hards will vote for their party's candidates.
And that is why i feel Buhari will win the election.He is not the best man to rule,but he is better than Jonathan and will bring some stability and hope.
