As another new mother loses her life at child birth,i ask,is it all a coincidence that these women keep dying in Nigeria?I have had of so many cases of ordinary people dying during or after child birth.Now celebrities are experiencing the same thing.Who is the health Minister in Nigeria and what are they doing to address this issues? Do we even have a health plan in Nigeria?Does the government give a damn about out health system?After all when they are all ill or if their wives wanna give birth,they fly out of the country!
When the President of a COUNTRY cannot find a hospital suitable enough to treat him,that
he has to fly out of the country,then you know we are seriously F'ed up!
And i will tell you something else,if the Minister of Health in Nigeria's wife, or daughter, is about to give birth,or needs medical care,bet your last Naira,they will fly out of the country!
So is it any surprise our women keep dying at child birth?The moments and times that are supposed to be the best of their lives ,destroyed by inadequate and uncaring government and poor health system!
Comedian Elder O,was rejoicing the happiest moment of his life,celebrating his wife giving birth to a boy.The happiest moment for both families and 24 hours later,Elder Odoemelam's life was shattered as he lost his wife,Charity Odoemelam,the baby boy luckily survived.
When you see the way Elder O announced both news on facebook,you can't help but have a tear in your eyes.Something needs to be done really fast about Nigeria's health system.Too many precious young beautiful lives lost unnecessarily.
Charity Odoemelam, the wife of comedian, Elder Odoemelam popularly known as Elder O passed away on Saturday Dec. 6th just a day after she gave birth to the couple's first son. Charity and Elder got married in January, and by December of the same year, she has lost her life needlessly in her dear nation.
Charity had a very difficult labor and complications following the birth...and though she survived the child's birth, who was born alive and well, she never recuperated and died the following day.
