This is what disgusts me about Nigeria politics.Everything has to be about tribe and religion.I mean listening to Okorocha talk, you will think he was contesting for the Igbo land presidency. Are you trying to rule Nigeria or Igbo land?Because you sound like the latter.Yes maybe the Igbo's are marginalized, yes maybe the Igbo's have not been giving a
chance to rule,in fact they haven't been. But when you talk like you do,then you are no better than them, cos if you had the chance to rule as well, you will keep the presidency in Ibo land.
chance to rule,in fact they haven't been. But when you talk like you do,then you are no better than them, cos if you had the chance to rule as well, you will keep the presidency in Ibo land.
When you as a presidential aspirant is saying things like there will be a turn around for Ndigbo, which is an area you come from, who will vote for you then apart from the Ndigbo? And can you win just with Ndigbo votes? These politicians should learn from Nelson Mandela and how he handled the white South Africans before and after he came into power.iF YOU HAVE ANY INTENTIONS TO RULE AND BE A GOOD LEADER,ALL YOUR PEOPLE HAVE TO BE ONE! You can't go about being a separatist, even if your predecessors have been so.
Why can't we be just Nigerians? And if it is too hard, let everyman go to his zone! I'm tired of all this stupid squabbling about ethnicity and religion! This is what Governor Rochas Okorocha said on Monday, when he was declaring his intention to run for Presidency below...
“My people, in 2015 I will be the president of the country. Three months ago when I said I want to be president they asked, “Can an Igboman be president? But now when they count those contesting for president they will first count Rochas Okorocha, before Buhari, Atiku Abubakar and Kwankwaso. When they said they have zoned the presidency to the North, I asked, When was the meeting held? Now we have zoned it to Igboland. In 2015, there will be a turnaround in the fortunes of Ndigbo. They only know themselves; they don’t care about Igbo. APC is an emergency party for a new Nigeria; I would not have joined APC if PDP was doing well. We will defeat PDP in 2015,”
