This poor man has had to go through humiliation after just losing his son.
Father of late South African footballer Senzo Meyiwa – has reacted to his action in the above photograph that went viral following Senzo’s burial last Saturday in Durban.
After the photograph appeared on the front page of the Sunday Times critics took to social
media to castigate the bereaved father for apparently enjoying the “attention”.
The result was an estimated 3000 copycat photos and memes flooding Instagram, Facebook and Twitter under the hashtag #NotSenzosDad all trying to demonize Meyiwa senior as being “Un-African” by his waving gesture on the day.
But though surprised at the public’s reaction, the man is unrepentant and has told the Times: “People can say and do whatever they want or like. What I was doing was showing my appreciation for the support shown by people to Senzo.”
I think any sane person would have known this,why would he be celebrating his son's death?
