| Muhammadu Buhari didn't have 27.5million Naira for APC Presidential form. |
I read a couple of things that left me baffled and shaking my head.I don't know why i keep letting Nigeria affairs give me headaches.I always say to myself,i will pay no attention,but the very next day and incredible happening will get my blood boiling again! What ahs done it this time?It's the 27.5million Naira APC imposed on the forms for the nomination form of those vying for presidency in their party.
Now the Money in itself is no doubt astronomical and encourages corruption,cos make no mistake about it,a man who pays 27.5million Naira for a form will recoup it back a hundred times!
But you would expect them to come up with a sensible reason or excuse for inflating the price so much to 27.5 million Naira.But when i heard the reason given by the national chairman of APC, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun, i concluded Nigeria is in such a deep dark hole that will take 50 years to be rescued from.The Chairman of the APC told Muhammadu Buhari who had been complaining about the high price of the form that the party decided to place the fee at N27.5 million, "to separate the men from the boys-.”
Can you believe that?Totally incredible! So in APC'S opinion,the richest man is the better man ?The way they can tell the men from the boys,is not by your ideologies,your record,your integrity,your reputation,your plan for the country,but by your ability to pay 27.5 million Naira for a presidential nomination form?
Sad really sad,it just goes to show you the kind of leaders we have ruling us now.Can you imagine Aminu Kano,Zik or Awolowo coming up with such ridiculos ststement?
Now moving on on to the casse of Buhari.Buhari is suggesting to us that he has not got 27.5million Naira and that he had to get a loan from his bank manager?Hmmm,do you believe that?I don't know,but if it is true,he definitely should be ruling Nigeria.
Buhari also revealed how much heart ache he had to go through on the matter of the 27.5million he payed for the APC form.
Buhari would be going head-to head with Atiku Abubakar at the party's primaries.
Former military head of state and All Progressive Congress (APC) presidential hopeful, General Muhammadu Buhari, who picked his nomination form for presidency on Thursday,said he pitied himself for picking up the presidential nomination form, after coughing up a whooping 27.5m..According to Premuim Times,he said
“it is a pity I couldn’t influence this amount to be trickled down, as it was done in the case of ladies that intended to participate in the election. I felt heavily sorry for myself, because I didn’t want to go and ask somebody to pay for my nomination. If you could recall, even the last one, I always try to pay for myself, at least for the nomination.
Thank goodness I have a personal relationship with the manager of my bank in Kaduna, which I have called and told that the forms are coming, so I don’t know whether I’m in red, green or black, but all I know is that I must honor this, otherwise I will lose the nomination.So this morning, the bank manager in Abuja decided to bring the money and I asked one of my nephews to quickly bring the form. I sign and I got the papers which the national organising secretary received. I thank God that I have come to this stage. All speculation will now cease,”
