Nigeria's Stephen Keshi is named 16th best coach in the world for month of September. |
Stephen Keshi has been ranked the 14th best Coach in the world for the month of September. The ranking is by Football Coach world ranking. This makes Keshi the best coach in
Africa. The award for the month of September is dominated by the Coaches present at the world cup.Personally,i think 14 for Keshi is pushing it.If the awards is based on the best National team managers, then yea i wont dispute it.Keshi led Nigeria into the last 16 at the world cup in Brazil,so he must be amongst the best 16 national coaches in the world. But if we are talking about coaches generally, then Keshi has a long way to go before he gets into the top 20.
Still it's nice to see an African coach, being up there among the big shakers.
Spain's Vincente Del Bosque makes second place also for the month of Sept..That is another baffling one,how does he make second place?I guess its to do with the result of Spain in August and September right? In that case how did Keshi come out tops in Africa?Nigeria lost a qualifying game in the African Nations cup in September to Congo,at home! And Keshi was in charge.I can't understand these awards..i give up!
