And the beat goes on..all activities in Enugu shut down because Goodluck Jonathan is holding a rally. |
On Thursday, September 25, markets, banks and schools in Enugu State will not
open for business because of a rally to be held in honour of President Goodluck Jonathan’s reelection efforts.
Did i hear that right? It's so bad you have to laugh.
A statement signed by the Commissioner for Information, Mr. Chuks Ugwoke, explained that the holiday “was to enable Enugu State citizens and other residents to participate fully in the rally in honour of His Excellency, President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, GCFR, organized by the Enugu State Movement for the Re-election of President Jonathan.” The rally will hold on Thursday at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Enugu by 10:00 am. The statement also advised relevant authorities to take note of the directive while urging Enugu citizens to honour the President by turning out en-masse at the rally.
Even if some people had come up with this ridiculous idea, shouldn't the President have cut them off telling them it was a stupid and wrong move? I'm just lost for words. There is so much i can write and say about this stupid and crazy act that has the word impunity written all over it in large capital letters. But really i can't be bothered...i just can't be,like a saying goes, when a matter is too grievous to cry over, you laugh...so i'm laughing.
