The Nigerian diplomat working for ECOWAS, who escaped quarantine in Lagos and left for Port Harcourt subsequently infecting and killing the Doctor who treated him has been unveiled .This is the first public pic of Olu-Ibukun Koye.
He came into contact with Liberian, Patrick Sawyer.Olu Koye then defied instructions to stay quarantied,fled to Port Harcourt to meet late doctor Iyke Enemuo who treated him in a hotel.
Olu Koye was treated and was certified Ebola free,but in a twist of fate,the doctor treating him became infected with the disease.The gist of the story is,Olu Koye did not at first tell the Doctor he was infected.I don't buy that story though,cos if he didn't tell him,how could he have been treated?
Now there are reports Olu Koye may be charged with manslaughter based on the death of the Doctor who treated him.If the Doctor knew he had Ebola,knew the risks,and was not forced to treat him.how can he be charged of manslaughter?
Maybe at most,reckless endangering of life.Sadly the Doctors wife has been infected as well.
