| Dr Adadevoh lost her life ,but saved many. |
Adadevoh,was an experienced consultant physician and endocrinologist was Lead Consultant with First Consultants Medical Centre, Obalende, Lagos.
She was the first to treat Patrick Sawyer.She actually prevented him from leaving the hospital despite orders from above to let him proceed to Calabar.Dr Adadevoh probably saved Nigeria from a bigger epidemic,cos if Patrick Sawyer had been allowed to travel to Calabar,there would have been a much more serious situation at hand with many more people infected.
Dr Adadevoh passed on this afternoon at an isolation centre where she was quarantined with other health workers from the same hospital.A few days ago when it was announced that there had been a survivor from the Ebola virus,it was wrongly assumed that Dr Adadevoh was the survivor,till it was later refuted that she was not the survivor that was being talked about.
This another terrible legacy of the inhumane and selfish Patrick Sawyer who brought pain and misery onto many families knowingly.
