Asamoah Gyan of Ghana laughing all the way to the bank with his millions! |
The Black Stars of Ghana striker Asamoah Gyan has overtaken Samuel Eto’o of Cameroon
and Manchester City’s Yaya Toure to become Africa’s highest paid sportsman. According to The Magazine’s Money Issue salary survey project, Gyan will make $16 million annual profit from his salaries, wages and endorsements as well his private businesses. Gyan who moved from English Premier League side Sunderland in September 2013 to Al Ain in the UAE for a record loan fee now earns more than Manchester City and Ivory Coast star Yaya Toure who pockets around $3322,000 a week and an annual aggregate of $15.4 million.
Samuel Eto-What do you mean Asamoah Gyan has replaced me as highest paid? |
Asamoah Gyan had been criticised when he left the English premiership where he was playing for Sunderland for the UAE.The critics had said he left a competitive league for an inferior one due to financial rewards.I say $16million is a lot of money,if Asamoah Gyan is happy with his football, good luck to him and i don't think it has really affected his football judging by his performance and goals at the recently concluded world cup.He was arguably Ghana's best player.
Yaya Toure-They paid Gyan how much???Manchester City don't even remember my birthday! |
