Some people don't deserve to RIP! |
- Political correctness angers me
- Why should a man who looted Nigeria resulting to suffering RIP?
I don't understand this government of ours in Nigeria,i guess that's what called political correctness.Must we mourn everyone that dies? Can't we atimes mind our own business? At least everyone who dies has their own family and friends.I was having a discussion with a friend of mine the other day.Someone had just died.I'm not gonna mention the person's name, but he was quite notorious. So my friend says RIP, I asked him why? He said surely we are not gonna pick a fight with a dead person,i said no we don't have to.But we don't have to wish him well as well.
The way things are, even Boko Haram members who are killed will be getting RIP messages.
I feel a lot of times when i see RIP from people to certain people, they just feel it's something they have to say..My friends some people don't deserve to rest in peace! YES! I said it,some people don't deserve to rest in peace!
Take for example a well known politician died recently.Alhaji Umaru Dikko. This guy was corrupt, stole billions of Naira from Nigeria the Nairaland.. Hr then escaped from the country when he was about to be probed to the UK. As we all know the Buhari government who waas in power then, tried to bring back into the country by kidnapping him,he was in a crate and about to be shipped to Nigeria at Stansted airport before the plot was foiled.Actually i don't know if it was the Buhari government who tried to kidnap him,but they were in power then.
The money meant to give you and i a better life was the money Umaru Dikko allegedly stole. As of that time
the money was estimated at $1billion! Imagine the roads that could have built, hospitals that could have been equipped, schools that could have been equipped and built,security..Now almost imagine those who died due to the bad roads, lack of equipments and drugs at hospitals and those who died of hunger cos of lack of jobs..all caused by the money Umaru Dikko stole...Now tell me why should i wish Umaru Dikko's soul to rest in peace after all this?
Umaru Dikko was later pardoned,i guess he must have been because he came back into the country and even took part in politics.
Did this man answer his case? NO? Dis he try to clear his name? NO...He escaped scott free..so imagine my dismay when i opened a newspaper and i see a message that President Goodluck Jonathan had sent a message of condolence to the Dikko Family wishing for him to RIP. Why? "Why should Nigeria wish him to RIP?"What has he done for Nigeria to deserve that?
This might sound cruel to some of you, fine, this is reality,a man who has brought pain, anguish and destruction to thousand or maybe millions of people deserves my sympathy not.The repercussion of the money Dikko stole in Nigeria is still going on till today..it's a legacy that we have not gotten over yet!
I don't wish death on anybody and won't celebrate anybody's death, but at the same time i will not mourn for everybody because some people don't deserve to RIP!
