Gay rumours have followed Simon Cowell for a long time and fellow judge on Britain's got talent ,British comedian David Walliams once said the X Factor creator Cowell will never shake off rumors that he is gay.
The star worked with the 53-year-old music mogul as a judge on TV show Britain's Got Talent and the pair have since become friends.
'I work with Simon Cowell and a lot of people say he’s gay,' Walliams said, reported The Daily Star.
'It will follow him until the day he dies, but what’s the point of worrying about it?'
Luckily Simon Cowell who just had a baby with his partner Lauren Silverman, is not bothered about all the rumours,he said on an interview with Newsnight’s Emily Maitliss, 'I couldn’t care less [if people think I’m gay] because it’s nothing to be ashamed of.'
Known for his love of self, Simon hasn't managed to avoid hearsay about his sexuality due to his vanity projects, which include regular Botox and colonic irrigation treatments.
Cowell continued: 'If I was living 200 years ago in a coal mine, maybe, but I work in possibly the gayest industry in the world! Music and TV! It would make no difference to my life or my career.'
Describing the questions regarding his personal life as 'antiquated', he asserted: 'A lot of my friends are gay, but I’m not and don’t even think that way any more.'
Cowell has had so many women conquests and yet the gay rumours persists. Cowell has been connected to a string of beautiful women including 48-year-old pop star Sinitta. The two had been lovers from the 80s and had an on off and on relationship until recently when Cowell had a baby with his partner Lauren Silverman.Sinitta had said she was hurt then to discover that Cowell was having a baby with another woman. But she said now is the time to let go. lap-dancer Georgina Law, 31 was also one of the ladies associated with Simon, and 38-year-old make-up girl Mezhgan Hussainy who he was engaged to.
Talk about Cowell's sexuality is nothing new and in recent times his conquests should've been enough to stop the murmuring.
At the end of 2012, Simon confirmed that he was dating American glamour model Carmen Electra, after he took a shine to her following her role as guest judge on Britain's Got Talent.
However, their union failed to blossom and this February Simon was once again a single man.
On relationships Cowell said: 'I’m happy single, and when I’m in relationships as well. I tend to be in a relationship more than being single.
'But I’m very good on my own, a) because I never get bored and b) because there is always something I need to catch up on.'
After this latest incident in the Tulisa case where Cowell was outed as gay,the rumours are sure to start again and possibly stronger than before. But like Cowell himself says, being gay is nothing to be ashamed of.
'It will follow him until the day he dies, but what’s the point of worrying about it?'
