  • Students of Rufus Giwa Polytechnic in Owo, Ondo state stage protest in high tuition fees
I think all the students of higher institution's in Nigeria might as well come together and down tools all at once! Haba! All the institutions are holding protests over hike in fees.
The latest to join the protest culture are students of Ondo State owned Rufus Giwa Polytechnic in Owo, Ondo state. This morning July 7th.they took over the Owo/Abuja expressway to protest the recent hike in
their school fees.

Management of the school recently increased the annual school fees of students of National Diploma in sciences from ₦21,300 to N58,300 and ND students from ₦53,800 to 73,000. A levy of N20,000 was also imposed on non-indegenes of the state by school management.

The" angry students locked up the offices of the rector, Prof. Igbekele Ajibefun" and thereafter took over the express road to drive home their anger.
We have enough natural resources and oil in that country not to demand fees from every single student in Nigeria.Yet not only do they pay, they are made to pay through hardship and pain while our leaders wallow in senseless and reckless spending!
These kids should be in school studying. Not on the high roads protesting over hike in fees.
