No More Loss has accused" Nigerian On air Personalities of demanding money to play songs of artists".Well this is not new,everyody in the industry knows this is normal practice.And i blame the useless
PMAN mostly for this.What has PMAN done to protect the interest of artists?I don't ever remember reading about PMAN making a bold claim for artists being taxed by OAP's.They don't have the interest of the artist at heart.All they wanna do is spend and take the money the government or whoever allocates to PMAN.Should be pushing for the Federal government to make it a criminal offence for anyone OAP caught accepting money or demanding money for airplay in Naija.After the 1st and 2nd people are jailed,watch how quickly the practice will be stopped.The same thing happened in the "UK and USA back in the days of payola" till it was made a punishable offence with jail and a heavy fine!
In USA for example,you can still pay to get played but it has to be made known publicly and declared.
The PMAN I'm sorry to say are a failure,i can't see one thing they have done for the industry,like many other sectors in Naija they A BIG F9.
Coming back to No More Loss,big kudos to raising this issue,but he said one interesting thing,"When real Nigerian artistes summon up the courage to name those who have demanded money,this madness will stop"
Well No More Loss,CAN YOU TAKE THAT FIRST STEP? You definitely have been asked for money else you won't come out with these strong words..so the ball is in your court,name that person or persons...
