Chelsea have been approached about a £15million deal for Nigeria striker Emmanuel Emenike from Fenerbahce.
The forward played a pivotal role in his country's run to the last 16 before they were defeated 2-0 by France on Monday.
The 27-year-old won the Turkish Super Lig with Fener last season scoring 12 goals in 28 league appearances.
Emenike is said to have caught the Stamford Bridge outfit's attention with his performances for Nigeria in the World Cup, and could now find himself on his way to West London.
The 27-year-old scored 11 goals in 27 appearances for Fenerbahce last season, and could
reportedly be the first man Jose Mourinho brings in as he attempts to overhaul his strike force.
Lack of goals had been a big factor in Chelsea not winning any titles last season and Mourinho is looking to change that next season.If signed Emenike will bring back some of the raw power pace and aggression Chelsea has missed since Didier Drogba left Chelsea.
