So i saw this write up about divorces in Nollywood in the past decade and i was truly shocked! Shocked cos i didn't realise that there were as many marriages that had crumbled! This article was originally by RomanceMeetsLife,along the way i'll be sure to add my bits and pieces.
Some allege that Nollywood is synonymous to divorce, but I strongly disagree. This is because there are marriage crashes everywhere. The marriages of pastors, bankers, politicians, civil servants etc do crash.
But we get to hear more about the so called frequent marriage crashes in the industry because they are in the limelight.
Nevertheless, whenever most of the marriages crash, we get to hear that they crashed because of incompatibility and irreconcilable differences.
Below are list of top stars whose divorce and separation shook the gossip columns and made their fans to feel bad.This is not Nollywood Movies..this real life...The pain and anguish of the stars.
1 SOLOMON AKIYESI
His case was filled with much drama, he left his estranged wife Lilian to marry another without proper divorce, and the drama that followed shook the industry. Oh i remember this case very well.This was the guy who turned out to be married to 3 women..the third was about to happen actually but stories leaked that he was still married to two others without having ended them.It was like a movie script in itself.Solomon was on the internet for weeks,he was News with all sorts of revelations surfacing. A very controversial period for Solomon.

2 KENNETH OKONKWO
His marriage to the only daughter of CPM General Overseer, Ogechi Ezekiel lasted barely for two years and it ended in 2002. The crashed marriage produced a son. The crashed marriage shook the industry as Kenneth had turned born again even before they got married.Another divorce.
3 UCHE OGBODO
Uche who is heavily pregnant and currently in the US awaiting her delivery recently disclosed that her few months old marriage to Ato has crashed based on lies and deceit on the part of Ato, and this shocked her fans. accusations and counter accusations of infidelity. Iloanusi also blamed his mother inlaw too.Is this Stephanie's first marriage or the only one she has had?I hope this is not her recent marriage.

Lola Alao's former husband attacked her severally in the media and said unprintable things about her when their marriage crashed.This was a messy one.It's sad when couple's break up and wash their linen in public.I guess this is worse for Lola cos she's a celebrity.All the same its another "Nolywood marriage that didn't make it and ended up in divorce"!
11 DORIS SIMEON AND DANIEL ADEMONIKAN
They surprised so many people with their separation and it generated so much drama.This was anotheer sad separation for me as well.I like Doris a lot.She seems like such a sweet girl.We read the husband left for America,he was supposed to come back soon,never did and Doris had to learn from friends he wasn't coming back and had left her! Sad way to find out your marriage is over.Divorce.

15 FOLUKE DARAMOLA
Foluke was married to Tunde Sobowale but the marriage crashed few years after.This was a controversial break up as well for the Yoruba actress.Se has since remarried and seems very happy.
