Top Nigerian blogs and people behind them!.... There are thousand of bloggers in Nigeria or Nigerian related blogs all over the world..Yes thousands..last time i checked anyway! That's a lot of blogging folks lol.
But just like anything, no matter how many engage,there will always be the top bloggers,the cream of the crop.Hence we have the some who fall in the categories of best Nigerian blogs or bloggers and top Nigerian blogs or bloggers.
Some bloggers blog for fun while some blog cos it's big business.A lot of bloggers started blogging
and didn't even realise they could make money from it,and they did,while some who set out to make money funnily end up making nothing.
"To be a good or top bloger,you have to have passion for writing or stories".It's even better if you have a special field so you can have a niche which you have vast interest in.But this is not absolutely necessary as you can also be an all rounder.

The most obvious Nigerian top blogger that comes to mind is Linda Ikeji.The young lady is a phenomenon.Linda was one of those bloggers who started out blogging just out of love for writing and had no idea she could make money from it.She said the first day Linda had an enquiry about how much it will cost to place an ad she was shocked and had to go do some research before she could the client how much it will cost.
Linda Ikeji is now a blogger that most bloggers in Nigeria aspire to be.She built her parents a mansion back
in her home town and this took 6 months! Yes 6 months! Oh did i mention Linda said when she started blogging she was so broke and had something like N500 in her account? (See Linda Ikeji Mansion here)
But Linda Ikeji did not just become a top Nigerian Blogger or have one of the best Nigerian blogs by chance.Blogging is hard work.Working 18 hours a day is not a strange thing..It's the last thing you do before you go to bed and the first thing you do when you wake up!
Blogging also leaves you with permanent headache and sore fingers coutesy of typing and staring at your laptop screen
My next Top Nigerian blogger or a is a name that some of you might not be too familiar but i bet you are very familiar with his blogging site.Its 360nobs.com, an entertainment and lifestyle website and the Nigerian blogger behind the site is Noble Igwe

I bet if i said the name Uche Eze you won't know who i was talking about.But you all know Bella Naija.Bella Naija is a very very top Nigerian blog that has been around for a few years now,it was founded in 2006 by Uche Eze who has something in common with Linda Ikeji in the sense that she started the blogging site out of boredom and it has grown into a blogging monster! Uche Eze has since featured on Oprah Winfrey show, CNN and other reputable platforms around the world based on the reputation of her Nigerian blog.

Notjustok is a Nigerian blog site you go to if you wanna know what's hot in the Nigerian music industry.Ovie who we all know by his first name is the Nigerian blogger most synonymous with this blog site.But the founder is actually a guy named Demola Ogundele. If Ovie endorses you on this blog,your song is most likely gonna be a Nigerian smash!
Earlier on i mentioned finding a niche that you had passion in was a good idea.Well this is just what our next top Nigerian blogger has done.Loy Okieze is a very successful Nigerian Tech blogger. He was clever enough not to mix up in the saturated Nigerian blog fields,he chose tech and his blog Techloy.com is the number one Nigeria blog of information on the happenings in the Nigerian IT sector.I have no idea if he has a passion for this field or if its just a clever business move.Either way it has worked out fine for Okieze.

LadunLiadi,Lailasblog.com,MisspetiteNigeria who i quite like,she won the best New blog in Nigeria in 2012,StellaDimokokorkus who i like too,you have to shine your eyes when trying to spell Stella's name..Stella is a bit of a controversial Nigerian blogger.I remember doing a story on her once and she called me out saying my info was very wrong..i replied it wasn't(lol),but she delivers and i like her.Stella is based in Germany but still manages to get top stories because of her background in journalism in Nigeria.
Then we have some Top Nigerian blogs that are more like a newspaper in the way they carry out their extensive reporting..some of these blogs are Pulse.Ng,Gistmania.com.

Sahara Reporters? Are they a Nigerian blog site or a Nigerian news site? That's a bit of a confusing one.Sahara has broken so many Nigerian news and mainly controversial ones.They are a scourge for those in power..but i have always wondered if they were a blog site or just News reporting site.I say Sahara reporters is a Nigerian blog site and that makes the founder one of the most important bloggers in Nigeria.His name is Omoyele Sowore..My question is,how does he get all those scoops?
Another Nigerian phenomenon i can't decide if they are a blog is Nairaland.Nairaland has over 1 million visitors a day! That is crazy figures..but they are a forum..can a forum be a blog as well? Or is Nairaland a forum/blog? I think Nairaland for me is a Nigerian blog/forum.

LOHIS CREATIONS.A friend actually brought my attention to this Nigerian Blog.Lohis Creations is a food blog .If you cant cook good,have no fear,there are some wonderful recipes here for you,featuring tasty and hearty Nigerian and African foods, tips and guides, pictures and reviews

NAIJAVIBE. Another self explanatory blog. Nigerian entertainment vibes is what you get at NaijaVibes blog.You get blog features celebrity news, music and videos, fashion, news and events.
CAMPUS PORTAL.Another clever and ideal blog. Campus Portal provides Nigerian University students with latest news, comments on student issues and scholarship information.
FASHION REHAB. Now this blog is heaven for us ladies.Fashion Rehab is a Nigerian fashion blog with a focus on fashion style trends, shopping and stylist looks. I don't even think they have explored all the potential this blog has.The blog provides fashion tips and tricks for all fashion lovers.
And finally my last Blog is our own very QUEEN OF THE NAIJA BLOG. Well, it's a fantastic blog by a young Nigerian lady that covers everyday life,fashion,sports,politics,entertainment of all sorts and my occasional strong views.I also have a format where i look back into years back and feature popular stories and happenings..it's called the Queens Archive.You should check it out and i hope you become a fan.
