A message from The teeth of god Suarez! |
Teeth of god Suarez had been banned in the past for 9 games by the English FA and it had no effect on him..So what makes FIFA think another ban with more or less the same number of games will make any difference? They have to ask themselves ,do we wanna rehabilitate the player or do we wanna ban him?If they wanna rehabilitate him, they have to lessen the punishment and add ways to get him back on track mentally.

counting.Luis Teeth of god Suarez needs help not punishment.A player who bites an opponent publicly in front of the whole world, not once twice but 3 times and the last time being less than 1 year ago clearly needs help.
The first statement Teeth of god Suarez released was just ridiculous. He said he slipped and fell onto the Italian player and the impact made his face smash into the Chiellini's arm...looool..I mean who advises Teeth of god? could they not have told him this was a ridiculous statement to release? But thank the stars, today he has released another statement.Apparently the gist is he wants to go to Barcelona and part of the deal with Barcelona was he has to admit to his crime. If this is true, what makes him think Liverpool will sell him?Anyway in this new statement released"Teeth of god Suarez apologises to Chiellini"and the footballing world and says he will never repeat this again.
The ironic thing is FIFA said if he had admitted the offence in the first place and was remorseful, the punishment would in no way have been that steep. But FIFA should still have worked with Suarez.
Should FIFA have banned Suarez longer or not?
I still feel the punishment is inappropriate because they haven't looked to help the player but to just punish him.
FIFA would have come out of this better if they had said we are sending Teeth of god Suarez on a rehabilitation program for 4 months plus a match ban of 4 or 5 games and a fine of a substantial amount of money. The money collected from Suarez can then be given to a charity in South America which pays for dental care of less privileged kids.
This would have been commendable. But it's FIFA and when have FIFA been known to get it right?
The Statement from Teeth of god Suarez apologising for his infamous bite.
After several days of being home with my family, I have had the opportunity to regain my calm and reflect about the reality of what occurred during the Italy-Uruguay match on 24 June 2014.
Independant from the fallout and the contradicting declarations that have surfaced during these past days, all of which have been without the intention of interfering with the good performance of my national team, the truth is that my colleague Giorgio Chiellini suffered the physical result of a bite in the collision he suffered with me. For this:
- I deeply regret what occurred
- I apologize to Giorgio Chiellini and the entire football family
- I vow to the public that there will never again be another incident like."
