As more Rice is Dished,Is Rice the New Manifesto of Politicians in Nigeria?

Politician in Nigeria now dish out Rice to entice poor voters,
A long time ago in Nigeria,you could easily identify a party by their manifesto.They all had strong focal points that was easily identifiable by the electorate.But now in Nigeria,even the party you support or voted for, has none.If you were asked to name their manifesto you will be stuggling.Fast forward many years later,the current breed have found a way round manifestos..give the poor electorate food,most notably rice and you will get their votes.

The sad thing is this bag of rice they are given will probably last for only about two days.

For me it shows this guys who are begging now to be voted into power do not have the interest of the masses at heart.We already knew that anyway..they are just giving us a blatant confirmation.They only wanna pocket more of the money in Nairaland.

Can you imagine in the UK or USA this happening? Politicians openly bribing the electorate with food or anything similar?

These guys have no ideas or clues how they are gonna impact the masses lives collectively,they have no idea what they can tell or sell to them that will make the electorate think..Yes..this is the
man! So what do they do instead? They buy their votes with a kilo of Rice.Very sad.

I think it is hi time in Nigeria they should make all activities like this,that bribes the masses
indirectly or directly illegal...Let's see what they will come up with then.
