We all know it's been advised for pregnant women to always exercise when pregnant,but should a woman at 8 months pregant be running a competitive race?Could this not be dangerous for both Pregnant mother to be and child?Is it safe for an 8months pregnant mother to be to run an 800m race?
Well Five-time U.S. national champion, Alysia Montano didn't think so as she left many stunned after running an 800m race while 34 weeks pregnant( 8 1/2 months pregnant)..Though she finished last in the race yesterday at the Hornet Stadium in Sacramento, California, the pregnant woman said she enjoyed it and felt 'really good'.

The 28-year-old runner, who received a standing ovation after completing the race in 2 minutes, 32.13 seconds, said her doctor gave her the go-ahead and contrary to beliefs,it is
not harmful to the baby...
'I've been running throughout my pregnancy and I felt really, really good during the whole process.'That took away any fear of what the outside world might think about a woman running during her pregnancy.What I found out mostly was that exercising during pregnancy is actually much better for the mom and the baby...I did all the things I normally do...I just happened to be 8 months pregnant. This is my normal this year"I don't know about you but i feel this is pushing it too far,I really feel she has endangered the health of the baby and hers,An 8months pregnant woman or mother to be should not be running a competitive race.
But apart from that,i must give the pregnant mother to be Alysia Montano big kudos,i'm not pregnant and i cant even move myself.This woman is 8 months preganant and she runs 800m in a competitive race? Absolutely incredible!
