What is the Point of Having Nigeria Police? I as this question in all seriousness..i have just seen a report on the Ibadan horrors,where many dead human remains were found.Seven people were also rescued there although one of them dropped dead as they were about to be taken away.
Now the reason for my question is this...at the scene of the crime almost 7 days later,there was not a single policeman guarding the scene,the scene was not cordoned off..there was no forensic work done..you could see all the bones ,skulls and more human remains still scattered all over the scene of the crime..there were shoes,identity cards,clothings and more personal belongings still scattered all over the place.Now what kind
of Government and Police does this?
Totally neglect a scene were a series of killings had happened to the citizens of the state? There was a police press conference and the presiding officer said,we are currently undergoing a series of investigations..we have arrested some people who worked nearby..Unbelievable!! And there is an inspector of Police who will ask those under him,how is the investigation going boys? They will obviously answer him,but what will they tell him? we arrested some guards who worked in the vicinity?
It was also said by the local people who gathered that some more bodies were still buried in that property and 7 days after the discovery of the scene ,nothing has been done by the police to search and recover more bodies..i still can't believe all those skulls and skeletons are still lying around casually 7 days later!! Gosh,this is a bad dream..but then again,none of those in power have their family missing so,who cares about some ordinary citizens gone missing?
Can you imagine this happening in the western world? When someone is stabbed,not killed,merely stabbed..they close off the whole area and you see them all on their knees scouting for forensic evidence..sometimes i say to myself,this peoples wahala is too much,you arrested the culprit,you have the knife,what else are you looking for? But that is how thorough they are,they live no stone unturned.
So when i see a scene of a massacre,cos that's the only word for it..and i see that 7 days later,you see skeletons and human skulls,you see human clothings and personal belongings of the people killed,and it's a free for all,people visit the site like a tourist destination,it makes me think DO WE REALLY HAVE A
POLICE FORCE AND IF WE DO WHAT FOR?
