Why I Love Fela Kuti-Pastor Adeboye

I had to rub my eyes when i saw the headline.."Pastor Adeboye loves Fela Kuti"? The Abami Eda himself? The King of hedonism? Could it be that the Pastor is about to confess to playing Fela in his car every morning or he was an avid visitor to the shrine in his younger day's?
Nah,sorry to disappoint you,it's none of the above,the Pastor was to have shocked many of his followers recently at the popular redeemed convention held at the church’s popular camp on Lagos-Ibadan expressway  when he said he love's Fela because  “I cant understand why
a Christian can pretend to be christian and doing other things at the back, this is one of the reasons I like the late Fela, because he did not pretend to be who he was not”.
It was recalled that during the life time of the late musician, Fela Kuti,he went to the altar with several women, he did not pretend not to be a smoker and neither did he say he frowned at traditional worshiping. Fela lived his life for everyone to see, not to deceive people nor to please anyone and mnay really appreciate him for who he was..Pastor Adeboye however stressed  to the congregation to live a life of a true Christian that will be of virtue that worth emulating.
So you can all catch your breath now..no cause for alarm..it is well still...Now you know why Pastor Adeboye loves Fela Kuti.
