Newspapers and blogs were awash today with news of Afrobeats or Hip Hop( or whatever the genre ) singer,Kcee being made Peace Ambassador by the first Lady Patience Jonathan ,after performing at the National Youth Peace Concert in Abuja, Nigeria yesterday Sat.Mar 08,Now i'm confused here,what kind of peace ambassador
exactly is Kcee supposed to be?People are being kiled left right centre,families losing their bread winners to the senseless murders by Boko Haram.People are looking for reassurance that they are safe and an end to all these attrocities are coming soon,and we get the 1st lady appointing Kcee as ambassador of Peace? Which kind peace?
What exactly can Kcee bring to the table to negate all the disturbance we are encountering?
I am really confused.I think things are being so trivialized nowadays and its a shame. I like Kcee and enjoy his music.This is no way an attack on him personally,hey if i was given an award by the 1st lady as well,i will take it.But i feel at this point in time with a lot of sensitive issues regarding peace,something like this is the last thing we should be entertaining.
